Case Study - Managing a Company's Productivity with a Single Dashboard

Overview

To address accountability, transparency, and performance issues related to company objectives, we created a SaaS tool following the Objective and Key Results (OKRs) framework. This tool resolves these issues and helps create more efficient companies with proactive employees.

Contribution

The Outer team was responsible for the design and development of the web application, as well as integration with Stripe for payment management.

Performance

A major problem with company objectives is the inability to measure them.

OKR-One solves this problem by using the OKR framework, which measures objectives using key results.

Each objective is measured against one or more key results, which are performance measures for the objective. Thus, it is easy to see how things progress over the quarter.

Weekly objectives help focus for the week and ensure that long-term objectives are achieved through short-term objectives.

Smaller companies need to be more agile and often change their priorities. By being able to manage objectives monthly, it is easier to change objectives and adapt to reality.

Accountability

OKRs in OKR-One are assigned to a team and a team member. This allows knowing who is responsible for advancing an objective and creates a sense of ownership among employees.

An email system takes care of sending OKR progress to those responsible to remind them of their priority.

Transparency

OKRs are visible to all employees, so everyone knows what the company is focused on and what is important. This allows employees to understand the impact of their work and prioritize tasks accordingly.

OKR-One progress is tracked using a feed that shows all changes made to OKRs. This makes it easy to see how things progress over the quarter.

A notification system also exists that notifies relevant individuals when a change is made to an OKR.
