Overview
The lawn treatment industry is booming. BioNaissance, a Quebec-based company, has excelled by providing quality service and investing in the automation of its processes.
Being a volume-driven industry, it's crucial to reduce the number of manual operations required to run the business.
The company uses a Quebec-based CRM to manage its clients, prospects, and operations.
Having acquired a new website in 2023, it wasn't connected to the CRM. Therefore, the company had to manually enter contracts and price inquiries into the CRM. This process was time-consuming.
The project's goal was to eliminate these manual tasks that could be repeated up to 1000 times per month.
Execution
The major challenge of this project was integrating with the CRM. The CRM is on-premises and uses outdated technologies that aren't easily integrable with web services.
We had to build a custom backend service that connects to the CRM and automatically enters contracts and price inquiries into the CRM.
Next, we modified the new website to send data to the backend service when an order is placed or a price inquiry is made.
The project was completed in 18 development hours over 2 weeks, resulting in a quickly executed project that saves 60 hours of work per month.
